Its-In-Credible25/06/2024Une dinguerie !!! Impossible de trouver les mots pour découvrir à la fois la gentillesse des hôtes et surtout, surtout la dinguerie derrière le menu surprise en 7 services. Une explosion des papilles, une découverte gustative hors norme. Habitué de la grande restauration, je dois avouer avoir rarement eu le palais aussi positivement étonné. À tel point que nous sommes revenus y déjeuner le lendemain midi. Bravo à vous.
Ruth From LA03/06/2024Great Food Off the Tourist Track On a cruise, the port of Ajaccio on Corsica was our first stop in France. And Le Petit Restaurant was a perfect reminder of why it is worth while to splurge on dining out in France. The restaurant only offers a prix fixe -- for lunch either E30 or E39. And a choice between only two dishes each course. So not for someone who is looking for inexpensive, nor for someone who wants or needs lots of choices. But for us, perfect. Very imaginative first course (for us, "tomatoes and mozzarella" -- but lovely and unusual presentation and delicious), and for mains, a choice of pork or octopus with seasonal vegetables. We had one of each main, and both thought ours was best. Lovely setting with a terrace (on an alley/narrow street), slightly off the main sea side promenade (so quieter and definitely for those who want to focus on food rather than view). Great selection of Corsican wines (which we took advantage of). All in all highly recommend to anyone interested in a lovely dining experience and willing to go slightly upscale.

Here, no gimmickry masking the lack of imagination like in some double-starred establishments that we had visited the previous month. Boldness, creativity, and above all new taste sensations. A festival of pleasure from start to finish enhanced by efficient, smiling and attentive room service. Even the chef comes to the room to pour a little sauce, but above all to be in contact with his guests and listen to them. In the evening service, two surprise menus, where you will have to trust the talent of the masters of the place. Let yourself go and above all enjoy the wine pairing with a glass of different wines for each of the 7 dishes. A great discovery of what Corsican wines have to show you, when they are exceptional. The entire menu is a hymn to the excellence of Corsican products. Look at the photos, it makes you want to discover, but they will not reflect the originality of the flavors and to what extent your senses will be overwhelmed. A little note for the Michelin guide. Above all, don't give them stars. They deserve more than that...
Peggyz21/05/2024Fantastic food with some weakness in the service The food was really good but there are some things that could be improved. We were told at the beginning of the 7 course meal that we should keep the knive until the end. I don’t understand why I should eat with a dirty knive… If a menu comes with a wine pairing the guest should have the chance to see the bottle and I wish we would have been told more about the wine which was served with the food.

My lover offered me this beautiful trip on “the Route des Sens” and he couldn’t have found a better one for my half century. Each dish was a reminiscence for us... the Sweetbread transported my Chéri to his grandmother's kitchen and the Brocciu took me back to the village. And the chef’s juices! Wow. The food and wine pairing is perfect and allowed us to make some lovely discoveries. In short, from the amuse bouche to the dessert we were on cloud nine... thank you for this love that you put into your dishes and your desserts, we will come back with great pleasure during our next visit to Ajaccio. A couple to follow because we feel that the passion is there
mel11/05/2024Yes, but.... A cozy room and a friendly welcome, we had lunch, the formula offers two starters, two main courses and two desserts to choose from. The wine list does not offer wine by the glass, we did not ask for the recommended price of wine and our surprise was great when the bill was added with a price of 12 euros per glass, without having seen the bottle. which would be welcome in a restaurant of this range. The entrance pleasantly surprised and delighted us, but we were disappointed afterwards. The dish was not very filling, especially fish, crunchy vegetables but lacking something, all saved by the excellent bisque. The dessert was very succinct for the sweet treats, the desire to eat a little more because they were good and for the soufflé dessert with vanilla insert, very disappointing... A flat dessert in flavor enhanced by the caramel poured at the beginning, which We would have liked to have been more generous or found some blown egg white at the bottom. No appetizers, which also surprised us. The value for money seems a bit off to us. We ate well, there is great potential in this cuisine and we are used to it for 106 euros for two (two formulas at 39 euros, the two glasses of wine and the simple carafe of still water charged 4 euros.. ) to be transported from start to finish with more generosity on the plate. The evening offerings may take up the culinary challenge. This is only our opinion as gourmets and gourmands and does not take anything away from the place or the chef's touch. We will not judge on a single lunch, this opinion is intended to be constructive and we wish the team continued success.

Der Service ist sowohl freundlich wie auch kompentent und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist genau im richtigen Mass exprimentiell wie auch traditonell. Wir sind begeistert 😃
david corteggiani10/06/2024Très bons plats avec un petit côté mystère car il n'y a pas de descriptions du menu sur la carte. Il faut faire confiance au chef mais nous avons 2 choix d'entree, plats et dessert quand même. Pour cette découverte du jour nous n'avons pas été déçu ma femme et moi. Très bon goût,cuisine travaillée et bonne cuisson d'agneau. Cela restera une bonne expérience avec une serveuse agréable et attentive. Le petit plus du pain fait maison et servi chaud fût très apprécié.
